Weight Gainer Cookies Ingredients

This recipe uses many high calorie ingredients and a few other additions to make a yummy no bake cookie!

  • Butter
  • Whole Milk
  • Sugar
  • Cocoa Powder
  • Quick Oats
  • Peanut Butter
  • Vanilla Extract

If you have a peanut allergy or are making these for someone who does, you can always swap peanut butter for sunflower butter! You may also use almond or hazelnut butter for a different flavor than peanut butter.

No bake recipes are a great option for the summer when you don’t want the oven on, or even for young children to help participate in making!

Weight Gainer Cookies Nutrition

These Weight Gainer Cookies are a delicious option for dessert or a midday snack! Not only are they high calorie, but there are nutritional benefits as well!

Peanut butter is a source of healthy fat and protein! When choosing peanut butter, look for the lower salt and lower sugar options. Peanut butter is also high in fiber, making it a great option to keep you fuller, longer!

The “healthy fats” in peanut butter are unsaturated fats. These fats help to lower LDL cholesterol, also known as “bad” cholesterol. Peanut butter is also a good source of magnesium, iron, and vitamin D.

Whole Milk is also high in protein and contains healthy fat. Milk is also a good source of calcium and can be fortified with vitamin D. This helps many Americans reach their daily nutrient goals when consuming milk.

Protein helps to grow and maintain muscle health and calcium contributes to bone density health.

Believe it or not, cocoa powder also contains health benefits! Cocoa contains compounds called polyphenols, which are antioxidants that help reduce inflammation, lower blood pressure, and improve cholesterol and blood sugar levels.

There may also be benefits to your mood from consuming high-polyphenol cocoa! Some studies have found a positive correlation with consumption of cocoa and less stress and depression.

Oats also contain many health benefits! Also containing fiber, they can help keep you feeling full and help with digestion. The type of fiber they contain, beta-glucan, can bind to cholesterol and help it leave the body through digestion.

This fiber has been linked to reducing the risk of heart disease. Quick oats contain the least amount of this soluble fiber, and steel cut and oat bran contain the most. Oats also contain helpful antioxidants!

Each of these ingredients contribute to these Weight Gainer Cookies being a great, filling snack or dessert!
