Roasted Almonds

The holidays are here! What can be better on a cold night than delicious, warm & toasty, Roasted Almonds?

A health packed, high calorie snack, Roasted Almonds are easy to make and can make for a great food gift!

Health Benefits of Almonds

Almonds are full of healthy fats, called monounsaturated fats, which can help lower your LDL cholesterol. They also contain a good amount of fiber, antioxidants, and other nutrients!

A one ounce portion of almonds contains about 3-4 grams of fiber! Fiber is important for your digestive system and can also help keep you feel full longer.

Almonds also contain antioxidants, which help to protect our bodies from oxidative stress. Oxidative stress can lead to damage of the molecules in your cells or even inflammation. The majority of antioxidants in almonds are found in the brown layer of the skin.

Another thing almonds are a great source of is vitamin E! Vitamin E is fat soluble and is part of the antioxidant defense system which means it also helps to prevent oxidative stress. It can also help to prevent cardiovascular diseases and has anti-cancer properties.

High Calorie Snacks

Almonds and nuts are a great high calorie snack! They are high in healthy fats, which means just a small portion packs some calories.

Their high calorie content and nutritional value make our Roasted Almonds a perfect snack if you are trying to gain or maintain weight. You can add them to yogurt, your granola, or even your salad!

High calorie snacks are an important addition to your meals if you are trying to gain or maintain weight. They help to keep you full and can also help you hit your calorie goals for the day. A high calorie snack also means you can eat a smaller portion and still get a larger amount of calories in.

This may be important for people who have smaller or no appetites, have trouble chewing or swallowing, or those who have to go long periods of time without eating.
